The most notable change in Canada is wearing face masks in public with the outbreak of coronavirus. In a short amount of time a new universal, yet temporary norm has been incorporated into our daily lives. Face coverings have the potential to be a folkway or a more depending on where you live regarding the current restrictions. Regardless, to not abide by the restrictions would be considered proscriptive as it suggests a lack of regard for public health. The same logic can be applied to social gatherings. Other hygienic practices such as sanitization and staying two metres away from other individuals are arguably in the realm of folkways.
